Hello everyone my name is Kim, a 48yo disabled single adoptive mom of
a 4yo. I'm raising funds for myself to purchase medical equipment that
will hopefully help me to stay out of the operating room. I've been
through four spine operations within the last eleven years. On May
30th 2025 I had a 14 hour surgery that kept me in the hospital for 47
days because I had complications. I'm trying to be proactive instead
of reactive when it comes to my health. The money raised will be used
to purchase an adjustable bed frame and hybird mattress to improve my
spinal health and healing.  I'm usually quick to lend
a helping hand and slow to receive, but this time I really need your
help due to me being on a fixed income. I'm currently sleeping on my
recliner in my living room because my bed is not good for my spinal
restrictions and after effect of this surgery. I've been out of the
hospital for about two weeks now doing all I can to safely regain function in
my legs and my lower back. I lost feeling during surgery so I have to
relearn how to walk again. I  thank God I'm alive and not paralyzed so I won't
complain. Physical therapy has helped me a lot and all the prayers
helped me more, however I still have a ways to go. Receiving this
support would mean the world to me because I need to be as active and
present as I can be for all of my grandchildren, especially my 4yo
special needs granddaughter that I recently adopted from foster care.
She fully depends on her Gigi and I can't let her down. I'm looking
forward to being the active GiGi I've always been for my
grandchildren. I would be beyond grateful if this could happen for me,
words would never be able to describe just how much. Receiving
this help would take an enormous amount of stress off of me and give me hope for a pain free future. I hope
