Many of you have asked how you can support the Gunter family beyond prayers and the meal train. In response, several of us came together and set up a “Caring for Bill” medical care account to help with their growing expenses.

This is something the Gunters have been hesitant to move forward with, but it is clear that it’s needed, and we know they are surrounded by many friends who genuinely want to help. They were initially reluctant to take this step, as they never want anyone to feel obligated to give. With gentle encouragement, they agreed. They are truly grateful for the incredible outpouring of love, prayers, and support from their community of family and friends.

Cancer is a Long and Expensive battle! 

Bill is scheduled for an extensive and complicated surgery coming up. Bill and Carol will need to be in Houston for over 5 weeks.

These funds you have so generously given have been and continue to be used throughout Bill’s cancer journey, helping meet his immediate and ongoing needs over the past year. Your support has helped provide travel to and from MD Anderson, lodging, food, medical-related necessities, and other essential expenses associated with his treatments.

Bill’s journey is far from over. He has major surgeries, hospital stays, and additional treatments ahead in the coming months, bringing continued travel and significant expenses. The funds raised to date have been used to help carry Bill and his family through the challenges of this past year, and the need for financial support continues.

No one is ever prepared for a cancer diagnosis; spiritually, mentally, emotionally, or financially. Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference and helps ease the financial burden as Bill continues this fight.
