My name is Mary, and I am asking for help for myself and my daughter, Shurelia.
We are both disabled and face significant medical challenges every day. Shurelia was born with Long QT Syndrome, a serious electrical heart condition that can cause life-threatening heart rhythm abnormalities. At birth, she had to be resuscitated twice and spent time on multiple forms of life support, including ECMO. She has a pacemaker and also experiences seizures. Her condition is lifelong and requires ongoing specialized medical care.
I live with multiple sclerosis, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, and several other medical conditions that prevent me from working, despite my desire to do so. I am currently waiting for my disability benefits to be finalized, but in the meantime, I am struggling to keep up with rent, utilities, and other essential expenses.
Recently, our vehicle broke down while we were returning home from one of Shurelia's cardiology appointments. The vehicle is no longer usable, creating even more difficulty in getting to medical appointments and meeting our daily needs.
I have always found it difficult to ask for help, but our situation has reached a point where I cannot do this alone. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help us cover housing, bills, transportation, and basic necessities while we navigate these challenges.
If you are able to help, please know that I am deeply grateful for your kindness, generosity, and support. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
Please donate to comment.
