I would use the benefi to help continue to offset the cost of my health insurance and household bills. I was diagnosed with Invasive Carcinoma Breast cancer in March 2023. I had a lumpectomy and had to do  4 weeks of radiation treatment . Thought that I had beaten cancer but during my first mammogram after cancer treatment they discovered Triple Negative cancer in my left breast in January 2024. This was a different type of cancer that required now chemotherapy. I also decided due to everything that I would remove my left  breast in March 2024 . After healing from my mastectomy I had to now start chemotherapy. I’ve had to complete 12  weeks of chemotherapy and in September I will finish my reconstructive surgery.y for my left breast. I have also opted to remove my right breast next year as the anxiety of having yearly mammograms has become overwhelming. Since being out of work for a few months now I have  switched over to Cobra with is over $900 for parent and child every two weeks. Also my state disability benefits will run out before I have my surgery in September.. This helps me to main my household bills until I return back to work hopefully by the end of October 2024. I’m about a month out for really making ends meet. As a child protective worker for over 20 years I’‘ve always given but I feel so bad just asking for help but my options are few and far in between. I don’t want to burden my family with my own trouble. To even have to do this brings me to tears. Any small gesture would be appreciated and once I’m back on my feet my hope is to be able to help others in my position.
